The cable-fault occurred Thursday afternoon, due to a technical fault in the rectifier system on the Norwegian side. The cable runs from Suldal in Rogaland to Blyth outside Newcastle.
NSL has been operating at half capacity while waiting for a component to be replaced. Now that the fault has been fixed, it will be back in full capacity on June 13.
