Map that shows where the fjord crossings will be mounted

The new crossings over Sogndalsfjorden (1) will run between Alpastølen and Vinesåsen in Sogndal municipality. In Sognefjorden (2), the new fjord crossings will run between Bjørnstigkampen and Ramnaberg in the municipalities of Vik and Sogndal. The fjord crossings can be found on nautical charts No. 122 and 124.

In connection with the establishment of new fjord crossings over Sogndalsfjorden and Sognefjorden, the area at the crossing site may be fully or partially closed to other maritime traffic during certain periods. Restrictions may apply from April to October 2026. Adverse weather conditions may lead to delays and adjustments to the schedule.

A sailing corridor with a defined width and height will be established to ensure safe navigation in the area. Details and coordinates for the sailing corridor will be published in Notices to Mariners (EfS) and on kartverket.no/efs.

Mariners are required to exercise caution when passing the area and to comply with signals and instructions from guard vessels on site.
