Interdisciplinary analyses
To promote the rational development and operation of the power system, we have a strong interdisciplinary analysis environment. The relationships in the power system are complex and we require solid expertise in technical power system analysis, reliability analysis, market analysis and socio-economic analysis to understand, quantify and assess these factors.
Transparent grid planning
Statnett is working to make grid planning more transparent. This involves, among other things, highlighting the considerations that govern our investment decisions. Our goal is to publish more of our analyses and assessments. These may include concept studies, analyses related to specific projects, or background work. In addition, Statnett prepares a Grid Development Plan every other year.
