What Statnett does

Statnett is first of all responsible for all high voltage electricity transmission and distribution in Norway. Such distribution is mainly from the country’s main hydro-electric power production plants countrywide. 

Management

The Statnett Group has more than 850 employees and corporate head office located at Smestad in the western suburbs of Oslo.

Procurement

Statnett procures equipment, material and services for a yearly value of about 1.5 mrd Norwegian kroner. These procurements range from major investments for new transformer-stations and powerlines to minor procurements related to adminstration and maintenance.
