Hamang substation is an important step in the renewal of the main grid in the region. The substation was built in 1951 and some parts of the facility are nearing the end of their technical lifespan. The substation’s age and expected increase in consumption necessitate increased capacity in the main grid to ensure a reliable supply of electricity in the years to come. The substation must therefore be replaced.
The remodelling of Hamang substation is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
To ensure a reliable supply until 2024, temporary measures has been implemented at Hamang substation.
