Directive 2001/77/EC (RES - Directive) has been valid in Norway since the 1st of September 2006. Issuing of EECS – GO takes place for generation from this date and later. The recent directive taken by the member states, 2009/28/EC (RES - Directive) will also be implemented in Norway. The purpose of the Guarantee of Origin according to this directive is to cancel the GO for electricity disclosure.
