Repair of NorNed expected to be completed in April

According to information from the Dutch TSO TenneT, the NorNed cable between Norway and the Netherlands is expected to be back in operation during second half of April. The cable has been unavailable since 29th of January.
The fault is located 70 km outside the coast of the Netherlands. The damaged section will be removed and replaced in an operation demanding high level of specialisation and accuracy.
The crew is currently mobilising and the whole operation is expected to be completed within the coming six weeks, depending on weather conditions in the area. The cable will be subject to a series of tests before being put back into operation.
