Statnett increases request for equity

Statnett has increased the request for equity to its owner the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (OED). The equity request increases from NOK 2.7 billion to NOK 4.0 billion.
The equity request from April 2009 was based on figures presented in the master plan for grid development 2008-2025. New analyses shows that the actual investment figures will increase significantly, leading to an increased need for equity.
Substantial investments are necessary to maintain security of supply in Norway, facilitate new renewable power production and increased value creation. An updated master plan for grid developments will be presented later this autumn.
