Oslofjord cable link disconnected Monday 17th of August

The cable connection across the Oslofjord between Moss and Horten will be disconnected from Monday the 17th of August due to repair works. The link is expected to be reconnected mid October.

The cable link is one out of three connections across the Oslo-fjord and facilitates among others transmission of electricity between Norway and Sweden. During the repair works transmission capacity from South Norway to Sweden will be between 700 and 1 000 MW.

In total, the link consists of six cables. Repair works will be carried out on two cables that were damaged during testing following previous repair works earlier this year. All six cables will be disconnected whilst the work is carried out.
