The NorNed cable - high power tests start today

At the end of last week the cable laying activities of the NorNed cable were completed and TenneT and Statnett started the transmission test program. The first low power tests show positive results. Based on the good progress of the ongoing testing, it is planned to start high power testing on Tuesday April 15th.
The first high power test flows on Tuesday will go from Norway to the Netherlands. Export volumes from Norway, will be bid in by Statnett on Nord Pool Spot as price independent demand. TenneT will bid the import volumes to the Netherlands into APX as price independent supply.
