Subsea cable failure

Thursday morning a new failure on a second subsea link across the Oslo fjord occured. The subsea cable link crosses the Oslo fjord close to Drøbak, at a depth of 220 meters.
The cause of the failure is yet not detected.
This is the second failure on a link across the Oslo fjord. The first one occurred on a link some kilometres south of todays failure. The problems with the links across the Oslo fjord leads to reduced exchange capacity with Sweden. The exchange capacity between Norway and Sweden in Østfold will be 350 MW tomorrow.
