The cooperation between TANESCO Electric Supply Company and Statnett has now entered its second phase. The objective is to promote social and economic development in Tanzania by contributing to the development of reliable and sustainable power production and transmission. The twinning project is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Uganda is among the countries in East Africa with the strongest growth. However, power consumption in the western part of Oslo, where Statnett has its head office, is still higher than the total consumption of Uganda, where 33 million people have to share the available kilowatt hours.
